Today, we are recruiting for Production Manager responsible for factory and facilities functions.

Role Headline

Implements defined overall production standards, and oversees and manages all production operations, within a single plant or site, which may include area related maintenance and engineering services.

Responsibilities of the Role

· Fully comply with local as well as Siemens Business Conduct guidelines including compliance, health & safety regulations, ISO 9001 and 14000. Specifically ensure safe working conditions at production area for blue as well as white collar workers. Support both internal and external audits.

· Provide necessary inputs to production process planning department for delivery schedules (Internal FAT, customer FAT, Ex-works delivery) in terms of process and material flow to ensure cost optimum production. Participate in the decision-making process of Make or Buy with relevant departments.

· As a main driver in the entire make process, initiate, drive and control all sub processes such as assembly of structure, component mounting and wiring Functional Testing etc. until the finished product is ready for Quality Inspection and Packaging also assist Quality department in stage wise quality checks. Rectify the problems immediately when noticed. Close all non-conformance reports related to production.

· Ensuring the readiness of finished product, inform the Quality department for either final routine testing and or FAT. Rectify problems occurred during the final inspection. Prepare packing and despatch of finished products as per contractual obligations, including documentation.

· Support and Provide Factory assembly quotations to RI/PR and CS Business Unit’s based on requests for Product Business.

· Implement the procedures & methods as listed in the "Quality Handbook". If required initiate / support either amendments or new procedures to achieve better quality in product as well as in processes.

· Human resource planning and then accordingly new recruitment and or divestment suggestions applications. Recommend competent staff for further development programs.

· Drives the strategic development of the organization unit(s) assigned.

· Implements defined superior policies and guidelines, and defines and ensures implementation of function specific processes, procedures, methods and/or tools.

· Ensures adherence at any time to relevant internal and local EHS-standards.

· Plans and proposes unit’s budget and decides and allocates financial and personnel resources, within given limits.

· Manages and develops all the respective workflow process to ensure all production targets (Quality, Quantity, Delivery in time) are achieved.

· Designs and proposes short- and midterm development of the responsible production unit (continuous improvement) and sets up and monitors completion of agreed investment projects.

· Ensures optimum machine utilization and product scheduling.

· Ensures availability of working instructions, rules and guidelines for all productions sections, shifts or production lines assigned.

· Contributes to and implements productions plans.

· Evaluates and contributes to implementation of maintenance programs.

· Contributes to planning and supervision of contractor work orders.

· Cooperates with concerned Sales, Project Management, and other technical and support functions to execute the manufacturing program.

· Manages organization unit(s) assigned, and leads and/or coordinates dedicated Management, Professionals, and staff.

· Day to Day Logistic and warehouse management operation experience

Attributes and skills

· Knowledge of Rail Infrastructure and Spoor plan products & the technologies involved.

· Technologies related to manufacturing processes such as bending, cutting, drilling, painting / coating etc.

· Manufacturing procedures pertaining different works stations such as wiring, assembly, mounting, bolting, etc.

· Knowledge of LoA process & business conduct guidelines including compliance rules

· Modern manufacturing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen etc

Qualification and Experience:

· Minimum Qualifications: BTech/ MTech in Electrical or Mechanical or Production Engineering.

· Minimum 8 Years relevant experience in Management and Production related activities in Manufacturing industry.

· Warehouse and Logistics experience

· Site installation experience

· Experience in Mechanical, Electrical engineering.

· General proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft office, SAP.

· Leading a team of blue collar as well as white collar staff and experience in handling IR issue on Production floor
