• Actively drives continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Proactively participates in cross-functional teams.
• Supports project plans, budgets, line/facility layouts, process sheet development, capacity analyses, and make/buy analyses.
• Creates tooling and fixture designs, including fabrication, installation and follow-up.
• Participates in direct and indirect labor analyses, line balancing, flow analysis and process optimization.
• Demonstrates a good working knowledge and understanding of lean principles and methods.
• Utilizes Lean-Six Sigma tools to identify and eliminate waste and reduce process variation.
• Provides manufacturing engineering support to minor and major new product introductions using the PDP process.
• Performs other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 0 - 3 years experience in engineering or other related area
• Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manual assembly process environment preferred.
• Lean-Six Sigma problem solving experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in MS Office and 3D modeling software preferred.
• Is a "hands-on", problem-solver with the ability to multi-task several projects and able to maintain the high quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Strong communication skills.
