Our client, a leader in the Financial Services sector, is seeking a Mainframe Operator to join their team. As a Mainframe Operator, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Monitor mainframe systems, batch processes, and applications to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation.

• Manage job scheduling tools such as CA-7, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, or equivalent.

• Perform routine system backups, maintenance tasks, and data recovery procedures.

• Maintain detailed logs of system activities, incidents, and resolutions.

• Ensure mainframe systems comply with security protocols and organizational policies.

What's Needed?

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2+ years of experience in mainframe operations, support, or a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems such as IBM z/OS or Unisys OS 2200.

• Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Tivoli, or Autosys).

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving system or application issues.
