Service Source Part-Time Lead Bartender in Quantico, Virginia

Job Summary This is a part-time position where one works 24 hours per week. Responsible primarily for serving, setting up, and clean-up of all bar functions. Expected to provide exceptional beverage service to all guests with duties to include mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests of service bar following standard recipes and the Company's and ABC alcoholic beverage policies. This is a fast-paced position that will involve constant customer interaction. Employee works independently without daily supervision by a manager and must conduct themselves in a responsible, ethical, and trustworthy manner.

Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests according to contract specifications, courteously and efficiently. Must have excellent product knowledge of proper mixing of alcoholic beverages.

  • Operate a cash register or point of sale system, must reconcile daily recap of sales data, responsible for accurate cash handling and collect payments.

  • Respond quickly to requests from guests, supervisors, or management in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. Follow up with guests to ensure their satisfaction

  • Prepare weekly beer, wine, and liquor order. Responsible for retail accountability and inventory control.

  • Maintain work area neat and organized to department standards, maintain established par levels for the bar, and clean and organize coolers.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.

  • Report missing articles, damage or mechanical problems restaurant/lounge area and equipment.

  • Collaborate on monthly inventory with the Inventory Specialist, ensure inventory is always controlled and accounted for.

  • Record temperatures of food and equipment and assist in the cafeteria when needed.

  • Assist in the Café’s during special functions or when in need due to volume.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.

  • Successful completion of bartending school preferred or a minimum of 2 years’ experience bartending at a restaurant or dining facility required.

  • Minimum of 21 years of age required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

  • Strong knowledge and enforcement of ABC laws.

  • Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.

  • Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

  • Provide a professional image through appearance and dress.
