Principal QA Engineer, BI

We are seeking a talented Principal QA Engineer, BI in

Pune or Hyderabad, India. The Principal QA Engineer, BI is part of the IT Shared

Services team and is responsible for the overall development and implementation

of test strategies and the test execution plans for a large, global BI

solution. He\she will communicate and coordinate with the business, functional

and technical teams to develop testing scenarios and communicate results. The

candidate will identify and document functional tests, test cases, and test

suites. The candidate should have a background resolving testing issues, knowledge

of test management and automation tools and DevOps. This role reports to the

Senior Manager, DevOps and QA and is part of the growing IT Team that supports

users across Sales, Marketing, Services, Customer Success, Finance, Product and

Engineering.

In this role you will…

• Create, plan, and execute a test execution strategy to deliver testingrelated deliverables and services for projects, upgrades, change requests andproduction support for Business Intelligence and Systems Integrations.

• Create the test plan and manage the effort, including resourceassignment, monitoring and managing the results, and ensuring testingobjectives have been satisfied.

• Identify functional test scripts necessary for completing useracceptance and regression testing objectives.

• Organize and maintain the entire test suite library.

• Report and interpret the results of the team's test efforts tostakeholders.

• Document functional test scripts and prepare reports collecting,analyzing, summarizing, and disseminating test information, including testresults.

• Collaborate closely with agile team/Project Team driving efficiency inthe QA process.

• Work with the team to refine acceptance criteria and translate them intotest cases.

• Provide QA estimation in terms of story points.

• Consideration of privacy and security obligation.

You’vegot what it takes if you have…

● BA/BS degree in Computer

Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.

● 6+ years of experience in QA

testing in Tableau, DBT, FiveTran.

● Strong experience in manual

and automation testing (Selenium or any Cloud Framework tool).

● Hands-on experience with

testing in Snowflake and business systems like Oracle Cloud ERP and Salesforce.

● Proficient in ETL concepts

and SQL scripting working on various databases.

● Proficient with Defect

Management Systems and integrations between test cases and defects.

● Should have worked with

Business Analysts to define testing requirements to satisfy the business

objectives.

● Hands-on experience in

Selenium is a strong plus.

● Experience using CI/CD

technologies such as GitHub.

● Excellent time management and

organizational skills.

● Certifications in QA and

Agile will be a plus.

● Strong grasp of DevOps

principles and practices.

● Demonstrated experience

working with cloud and on-prem applications.

● Ability to work seamlessly as

part of a multi-site, multicultural, development and testing team, onshore and

offshore, internal and external resources.

● Strong verbal and written

communication skills.

● Any ETL (like Informatica)

certification is a strong plus.

● Certifications related to

ITSM is a plus.
