Lead Software Engineer-1

Overview

The Loyalty Rewards & Segments program is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the solutions to enable our customers to optimize their loyalty programs from beginning to end. We build and manage global solutions that enable merchants and issuers to offer points, miles, or cashback benefits seamlessly to their cardholders. Customers are able to build and implement custom promotions using our sophisticated rules engine to target spend categories or target increasing engagement with cardholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about the technology, proven record of designing and delivering large scale initiatives.

Role

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for leading the development teams to create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market. This position interacts with product managers, engineering leaders, architects and software developers and business operations on the definition and delivery of highly scalable and secure solutions.

The role includes:

• Hands-on developer who writes high quality, secure code that is modular, functional and testable.

• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery for engineering efforts across a program

• Create or introduce, test, and deploy new technology to optimize the service

• Design and build technical road-maps and guide the development staff on adoption

• Contribute to all parts of the software’s development including design, development, documentation, and testing.

• Have strong ownership of your team’s software and are deep in the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties and dependencies including hardware, operating system, and build.

• Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.

• Responsible for ensuring application stability in production by creating solutions that provide operational health.

• Mentoring and leading new developers while driving modern engineering practices.

All About You

• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills and experience working in an Agile environment.

• Experience with XP, TDD and BDD in the software development processes

• Expertise in Web applications (Springboot Angular, Java, PCF), Web Services (REST/OAuth), and Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase) and tools ( Sonar, Splunk, Dynatrace)

• Expertise SQL, Oracle and Postgres

• Expertise in micro-services, event driven architecture

• Soft skills: strong verbal and written communication to demo features to product owners; strong leadership quality to mentor and support other team members, proactive and has initiative to take development work from inception to implementation.

• Familiar with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerability management
