Job Summary

As the Engineering & Development Services (EDS) Leader (BV Operations), you will provide the overall vision and direction for Regional Engineering & Development Services in support of our Global and Regional market sectors. You will align with Global and Regional functional strategies and culture geared toward optimizing efficiency and agility while building high-performing teams. You will carry a high-level risk role due to the size of overall organization and engineering component of the projects. You will lead an engineering organization of approximately 600 to 800 professionals with five to ten direct reports. In this role, you will report to the Global management and matrix responsibilities with Regional management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute our EDS strategy in alignment with our Global & Regional strategies.

• Optimize overheads to align with global and regional expectations and support profitable growth through developing and retaining resources.

• Drive joint accountability for project execution and safety performance Global and Regional projects.

• Manage project staffing and career development to support movement of professionals across Market Sectors and geographies.

• Drive implementation and alignment of processes and technology to support the Global / Regional Market Sectors and increase efficiency.

• Strategic evolution of engineering design and solutions to support current and new markets.

• Maintain an excellence in engineering to lead our industry in engineering innovation and advance our competitive position.

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree preferred

• Global engineering experience

• Running organizations of 500 professionals or more

• Project management certifications

• Familiarity with Black & Veatch clients, markets, and solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, HR, or other related technical discipline.

• 15+ years of management experience in areas such as engineering, environmental, land services, project management and/or operations management of at least 100 professionals.

• Prior project execution experience.

• Familiarity with engineering processes and tools.
