Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Firmware Engineer in Pullman, Washington

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our Government Services Division team.

This position supports a variety of projects requiring design, implementation and analysis of complex embedded devices.

The ideal candidate will have experience with VHDL, developing software and firmware in C/C++, and using a variety of test/diagnostic equipment.

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

As a Firmware Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

  • Participating in the design, implementation, and testing of firmware/software systems.

  • Prepare and maintain designs and test documentations.

  • Mentor other Associate Engineers and Technicians.

    This job might be for you if:

  • You enjoy understanding hardware and software interactions, and are willing to collaborate with Hardware Engineers on projects.

  • You have a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • You have 2+ years experience in embedded systems development, including: C, C++, and assembly languages.
