Job Description ENSCO is seeking a Fabricator/Machinist at the Transportation Technology Center in Pueblo, Colorado with experience within the railway industry to provide machine shop fabrication and welding services in support of research, testing and training services to the railway industry in the areas of track; rollingstock; signals and communications; and human factors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Cuts and machines parts according to established drawings and procedures.

Weld components and parts using MIG, TIG and stick welding equipment indoors, outdoors.

Receives verbal instructions, blueprints and work orders. Makes drawings or sketches of parts to be made or repaired.

Interprets drawings, calculates and determines indices, tapers and other dimensions to be used for part(s).

Performs layout work as required.

Sets up and operates machine tools, lathes, grinders, mills, and hones.

Performs dismantling, fitting or assembly work required for components of railway equipment.

Repairs and maintains machines and equipment.

Accountable for compliance of all operating rules, policies and guidelines.

Attend rules and safety classes and ensure all rules are followed as directed by the Company, FRA, and other governing agencies.

Any other duties as assigned by the Company.

Testing programs run day and night, so shift flexibility is a must. Shifts may include morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight. Overtime, weekend, and holiday hours may also be required.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

Minimum Two (2) to four (4) years of experience as Fabricator and/or Machinist Ability to be flexible in a fast pasted environment Observe all safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus for the entirety of the shift. Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors Must be able to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team Must be able to safely climb a 15 foot high ladder Railroad regulations require that the selected candidate must pass an e-RAILSAFE security background check and online safety tests to work on railroad...
