Overview of the Position: Key role in the strategy, development, and management of the Sales function. Responsible for the development and implementation of tools and processes to drive increased sales through productivity and improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Direct and coordinate the company's sales functions to maintain and profitably grow existing customer accounts, as well as to identify and develop new customer and sales opportunities * Develop and manage the sales strategy and process. Provide direction and leadership in development of the strategic plan * Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the sales process and leads process improvement initiatives * Conduct bid and contract review approvals * Develop and manage department goals and initiatives * Accountable for monitoring and analyzing all sales activity against defined company goals * Responsible for developing, managing, motivating the sales team efforts with a commitment to integrity, quality, customer service, and strategic growth * Direct and assist job training for new employees * Perform other duties as assigned Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong database, spreadsheet, analytical and presentation skills * Must be fluent with Microsoft Office suite office products * Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications * Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred * Aerospace/Defense Industry experience desired

Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 10 pounds. * Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. * Is frequently required to talk or listen. * Works in moderate noise levels. * Travel up to 30%.
