Provo City Parks and Recreation Department is hiring for part-time seasonal laborer positions needed to work at the new EPIC Sports Park in the Sports Division.

What is the compensation?

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending upon skill level and experience). Payment will be by direct deposit.

What are the main duties?

  • Paint/mark the sidelines for various sports fields.

  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.

  • Clean restrooms and pick up debris.

  • Operate trucks, four wheelers, or small tractors.

  • Assist in field layout and painting.

  • Assist other crew members as needed/directed and perform other related work as required.

    What are the minimum requirements?

  • Sufficient knowledge, training, and/or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the job.

  • Valid, lawful driver license.

    What is the schedule? Schedule varies Monday through Sunday and will be determined by supervisor. Must be flexible to work some weekends with tournaments, special events, or preventative maintenance, as directed. Duration of Positions : Approximately May through November 2024.

    What are the physical/environmental factors? This work requires strenuous physical labor; walking; bending; reaching; lifting (up to 70 lbs.); and exposure to adverse weather conditions and some pesticides. Applicant must have physical strength and agility sufficient to perform the work.

    What is the selection process? This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient, qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed below to be eligible for consideration. Prior to appointment, applicant will be required to successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of 6 months.
