Location-Staff/Admin Employment Service Full/Part Time-Full-Time Regular/Temporary-Regular Job ID-132050 Staff and Administrative Job Summary: The BYU Student Health Center is looking to hire a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in a patient centered, professional atmosphere. Essential Functions: The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting clinicians in providing patient care. Clerical and clinical tasks include a variety of procedures, and coordination of care between clinicians, laboratory, radiology, and Urgent Care. Schedule: Four 10 hour days and possibly some Saturdays Education/Experience: Minimum education/experience required: Certified as a Medical Assistant Preferred: 1 year of experience in physician's office or Medical Clinic Employee Class: Staff (Full-Time) Work Location: Provo Campus Environment: Periodic exposure to unfavorable conditions. Need to be in variable temperatures or wet environments, etc. Physical Exam Required: N Physical Exam Details: Frequently exposed to infectious patients Whenever working 10-20 patients/day Gloves, mask, goggles, gown Some days are highly stressful depending the patient needs Potential whenever working Difficult to assess n/a Desired Start Date: As soon as possible Job Close Date: Open Until Filled Pay Level: 47 Approximate Starting Salary: $17.75 - $22.50 an hour
