Job Description:

Under the new leadership of Dean Tejal Desai, we are seeking a Coordinator for Deans’ Initiatives & Planning for our Deans’ Office.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Coordinator for Dean’s Initiatives & Planning provides high-level coordination of Dean’s activities for the School of Engineering. The incumbent serves as the central liaison between the Associate Dean of Programs and Planning and faculty, students, staff and other internal and external constituents. The Coordinator for Dean’s Initiatives & Planning proactively manages scheduling, special projects and events, drafting briefings and meeting agendas from standardized templates, and supports meetings and committee arrangements. The incumbent supports the Associate Dean of Programs and serves as a backup to the primary executive assistant in the Dean’s office.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 2 year’s experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience. Prior executive-level administrative experience (in a university setting, preferred).

Ability to work independently and interdependently with diverse teams.

Effective interpersonal communicator with ability to engage with diverse groups

Demonstrated editing and proofreading skills
Technology
Experience with computerized systems (i.e. Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) and continued interest in maintaining skills
Proficiency with Zoom and other virtual video conference platforms
Conduct ad hoc research via multiple online platforms
