The Senior Compliance Manager will report to the Chief Compliance Officer. The Senior Compliance Manager will be responsible for supporting the Company’s US and OUS Compliance program which includes all healthcare professional education events for the US and OUS, reviewing and monitoring US and OUS Educational Grants, reviewing and monitoring all third-party marketing and sponsorships in the US, reviewing and enhancing our Sunshine Reporting programs, developing and administrating compliance training, and executing and reviewing auditing and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures. This individual will present compliance exceptions and changes in compliance policies to employees throughout the company including senior and executive leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manages all policies and procedures for Global Professional Programs and provides training on these procedures for new hires and existing employees;

  • Monitors and audit HCP programs and events submitted by our US, China, Japan, Greater Asia, and EMEA teams in Porzio for HCP consultants ensuring they are in-line with our Global Professional Program procedures and local rules and regulations;

  • Manages and reviews the fair market value tiering for all HCP nominations. This includes reviewing HCP curriculum vitae (CV) and answering questions to calculate the correct tiering.

  • Flags exceptions to our global policies and works with the appropriate business leaders to investigate and resolve the exceptions. Provides a summary of exceptions for the quarterly compliance committee meetings;

  • Drives a culture of compliance through interactions with senior management team members reinforcing the regulations and policies and procedures;

  • Presents updates to senior leaders on compliance matters, changes in the compliance program, changes in regulations, and compliance risks we should be monitoring;

  • Develops and administers compliance training programs that focus on Integra policies and real-life scenarios. This includes quarterly compliance training modules, new hire training, annual sales meetings including International, and general training as needed;

  • Participates in investigations lending expertise around HCP interactions, assessing approach on investigations by lending knowledge and expertise.

  • Provides assistance with the US and International Grants process focusing on compliance with all rules and regulations, identifying and flagging non-compliant grants, educating the business on grants and the process that should be followed, and analyzing trends in grants and programs supported through the grants process;

  • Provides assistance with the US and International Transparency reporting processes for Sunshine reporting for the US and EMEA. This includes leading the project to automate the Sunshine reporting for Belgium, Italy, and France and other countries who implement Sunshine reporting;

  • Continues to assess and streamline processes for HCP engagements, sponsorships, grants, and transparency reporting to ensure we have covered the appropriate rules and regulations and do not have any exposure. Continues to drive automation and process efficiencies eliminating unnecessary and repetitive work;

  • Provides content for the quarterly updates at the Compliance Committee meetings which includes ELT. Provides content for quarterly audit committee and board presentations and as needed, presents at the quarterly Legal Town Hall meetings;

  • Develops talent with a focus on training and cross-training staff to ensure the staff has appropriate knowledge and back-up;.

  • Provides leadership and strategic direction and drives the overall strategy and direction for the Compliance program collaborating with OUS counterparts.

  • Ensures all work is accomplished with quality and responsiveness and in accordance with Integra LifeSciences values;

  • Be a valued business partner within the compliance department and to other internal clients;

  • Collaborate with outside functions, such as Medical Affairs, Professional Education, Sales and Marketing, etc. to drive a culture of compliance and work through challenges, in a compliant manner.

Requirements include:

  • Significant organizational and time management skills as well as personal discipline necessary to maintain current accounting of all active matters and to proactively and routinely update relevant stakeholders on matter status;

  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills, including skills in drafting procedures and processes as well as negotiation skills;

  • Demonstrates strong data analytic skills and knowledge of compliance requirements related to interactions with healthcare professionals;

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with healthcare professionals and/or medical scientific professionals on a regular basis, including demanding and forceful personalities;

  • Remains calm and focused in pressure situations;

  • Self-starter; highly motivated and ambitious;

  • Problem solver and ability to react quickly to high risk issues and problems;

  • Ability to think outside the box while coming up with solutions that remain compliant;

  • Sound judgment combined with comfort and willingness to make decisions;

  • Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams and effectively solve problems;

  • Comfort with dynamic change necessary to drive or support continuous improvements within the compliance department and for other internal clients;

  • Possesses at least 8-15 years' experience in a corporate compliance function; experience with healthcare compliance, healthcare educational and training events, grants, and the U.S. Physician Payment Sunshine Act and other transparency laws preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

Additional details:

This role is hybrid with three days onsite in Princeton, NJ and two days remote.
