Overview

The Education Research Section (ERS) at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University is seeking a pre-doctoral Research Assistant with documented interest in educational inequality to begin in August 2024. The successful candidate will assist Prof. Jennifer Jennings in conjunction with ERS on multiple research projects. Appointment is for one year.

Research Assistants are expected to have outstanding potential and be self-motivated, goal-oriented and capable of successfully communicating ideas.



Responsibilities

This position requires strong data collection and analysis skills. Datasets are compiled, analyzed and interpreted.

This position will give assistance to Princeton University Professor Jennifer Jennings on research.

Ability to assist Prof. Jennifer Jennings in conjunction with ERS in publishing work in scholarly journals.

Research Assistants will participate in all ERS activities, including student-faculty seminars, workshops, and public lectures.

Additional duties may be assigned.



Qualifications

ESSENTIAL Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent research, writing and collecting data from schools.

PREFERRED Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, and Other Education

  • Experience conducting qualitative interviews.
