Job Summary:

The Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC) Shift Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of operations within the GPS security operations center and control room across all client sites in the respective region, EMEA, and will assist the global security operations center (GSOC), as needed. The Shift Manager will report to the GPS Country Security Manager of Physical Security for the Czech Republic, and they will use operational best practices to ensure physical safety and security across the client's sites.

Essential Functions:

  • Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.

  • Manage the Regional Security Center Operators in shift patterns as required, using dedicated RSOC software and applications to manage access to EMEA sites and data centers, including access badge printing and complete access badge management.

  • Liaise with other Security Operations Centers within the client R/GSOC network and ensure best practices are maintained throughout the network.

  • Ensure a high level of service to local and remote client sites and staff is delivered, emphasizing the security and safety of the client's staff, assets, and information.

  • Effectively provide direction and manage all RSOC technologies, including network video, access control, and more.

  • Lead the response and provide direct action to incidents and alarm activation.

  • Formulate Management Information (MI) and reports to share with GPS management on the requested frequency.

  • Direct the liaison with emergency services and other monitoring agents as required.

  • Manage and be liable for digital media evidence.

  • Manage and be accountable for collating and viewing network video images in response to incident investigation in line with the code of practice.

  • Determine the appropriate response to each reported incident.

  • Maintain active awareness for self and team of the monitored environment to promote safe and effective working.

  • Manage, supervise, and serve as a backup and troubleshooting role in the visitor identity management process in the EMEA region.

  • Manage Operators triaging and managing the process of any Security Incident or system anomalies raised in the EMEA, providing professional customer service when responding to raised Security Incidents received via numerous communications platforms.

  • Manage ROC Operators handling all communication and requests coming from the GPS team and any other security related contractors of the client.

  • Manage Operators providing support to GPS team in regional intelligence threat monitoring of minor or major events, important business travels and situational awareness using dedicated software.

  • Participate in the creation process of Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), Working Instructions, Playbooks, Manuals, and other documentation related to RSOC's Operation.

  • Control all SOC-related EMEA or Global documentation using the Document Quality process.

  • Participate in the creation process of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for RSOC.

  • Contribute to reporting projects, creating sophisticated Dashboard visuals of reported data.

  • Participate in Process mapping project, creating visuals and workflows.

  • All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree and minimum of two years' experience of working in a security environment like that of an international security operations center and/or control room (including experience in a management role), or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Competencies:

  • Comprehensive English language, written and spoken; any second language is highly desirable.

  • High proficiency in using IT applications and evidence of data entry and retrieval..

  • Good understanding of security management systems.

  • Familiarity with Genetec, C-Cure, Trackforce, or similar integrated systems is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of technical elements associated with security systems such as IP networks, servers, LAN/WAN.

  • Experience in security analysis, problem-solving, handling preliminary inquiries, incident assessment, and triaging reports.

  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports, independent of direction, where necessary.

  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.

  • Serve as an effective team leader.

  • Effective independent judgment and decision-making ability.

  • Able to carry out responsibilities with little supervision.
