Role purpose

As a GKN Automotive project co-ordinator you will work within transformation projects across our business delivering new technologies including infrastructure, applications, and processes throughout the organisation. You will be a key delivery team member working with stakeholders across our organisation and external partner teams to assist project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Working with the project management team to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

• Creation and management of core project governance deliverables in alignment with GKN Automotive delivery processes.

• Monitor and drive activities with external partners and suppliers to ensure effective integration of systems.

• Ensure risk profiles are kept up to date and mitigations are progressed by the relevant owners.

• Share, monitor and report progress of activities, milestones, and deliverables with the delivery team and project manager.

Skills

• As a GKN Automotive project co-ordinator, you will play a vital role as part of high performing project teams, working closely with stakeholders across the business. You will bring proven relationship management skills and the ability to drive and deliver project goals. You will also show a highly developed ability to own and resolve conflicts and project issues and to work within multiple and complex project streams.

• A trusted professional with excellent communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.

• A project professional with a good understanding of business process including manufacturing and a track record working within successful deliveries of complex projects.

Experience

• You should have successfully operated as a Project co-ordinatorfor several years, you will have strong infrastructure and application knowledge ideally within a manufacturing organisation and understanding of business functions.

• You will be both extremely client focused with an ability to work within the delivery team to drive through complex change and have proven relationship management skills.

• Project management and PMO certification in recognised best-practice and frameworks such as PMI, APM, P3O.

• Role location is flexible but will be based within one of our existing sites

Education

Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred

This role reports directly into our IT Portfolio Manager
