Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a professional Structural Engineer with experience in handling diverse building projects. You will be working with a variety of building materials including wood, masonry, steel, and concrete. Your role will encompass managing 5-10 projects at a time, analyzing load spread including gravity and lateral forces, calculating the stability of buildings, managing project budgets and timelines, leading a team of junior staff to ensure timely deliverables, and communicating directly with stakeholders. The projects range in size from $10,000 to $100,000 and involve retail, ground-up buildings, pad buildings, tilt-ups, multi-use residential, hospitality, and tent structures. As the Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the project from the pre-design stage, through to creating the project schedule and budget, and implementing the project design and deliverables.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon.

Work Environment

The role is based in our office with core hours from 9-4 pm, however, flex time is also available. You will be working in a team of 13, including 4 principals and 7 structural engineers.
