Pall Danaher Business System Office (DBSO) – Global Commercial DBS Leader

The Global Commercial DBSL is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) with the commercial teams at Pall to meet Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets. The Global Commercial DBSL will focus on commercial execution by partnering with regional/functional sales and marketing teams with an emphasis on the commercial growth tools. The DBSL will also be accountable to champion HVC across Pall and focus on facilitation and installation of standard work and best practices across commercial enablement functions.This role has runway to more senior leadership opportunities across the Life Sciences Platform and Danaher. You should have an aspiration for career growth and demonstrated potential for future promotability to a larger and more senior leadership position.

This position is part of the DBSO of Pall Corporation reporting to the Vice President of the DBSO. The preferred location is Port Washington, NY

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the creation, improvement, and deployment of sales continuous improvement processes, best practices, and tools. Key priority areas are:

  • Funnel Management

  • New Product Launch Excellence

  • Growth War Room

  • Transformative Marketing

  • Drive improvement using the identified tools above through monthly PSP and Kaizen work. Work with commercial and marketing leadership to drive/maintain installation and sustainment of results from the use of the processes and tools.

  • Collaborate on sales effectiveness priorities and initiatives to ensure the commercial engine/system is producing the greatest results for the business.

  • Act as the thought business partner for BU GM in identifying performance and capability gaps, propose countermeasure to remediate.

  • Educate Pall on current innovative best practices in sales effectiveness. Provide feedback/guidance on how to maximize/optimize programs and results by incorporating these best practices and processes.

  • Be the center of knowledge (brain trust) for sales process, approaches, and best practices, build library of best practices and share across the corporation. Engage sales leaders and resources through webinars and outbound communication plans and other activities to push and inspire their thinking and results.

  • Work with Marketing, Sales & Sales Enablement organizations to develop and manage a funnel of growth initiatives to achieve key organizational strategic initiatives.

  • Assist commercial leaders to create a Danaher Business System (DBS) Project Roadmap (how to use DBS tools to drive sustainable results) including good daily management (DM), Visual Management (VM) and problem-solving processes (PSP) to find root cause and countermeasure for driving/delivering growth plans.

  • Support Sales leaders in the development and deployment of Key Account management/ Account based marketing and Channel Partner Programs.

  • Support sales management to deploy, improve, and sustain sales standard work for the management of sales funnels, consumables run rate, account plans, weekly sales pod calls, customer business reviews, etc.

  • Schedule, charter, and facilitate kaizen events. Ensure effective sustainment of results and support problem solving as needed to close gaps to targets.

  • Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching. Augment with other sources of training and coaching (Pall DBSO, DHR DBSO, outside sources). Improve DBS training and facilitation by pursuing certification in DBS tools for yourself and others.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • An undergraduate degree in science, engineering, or business. An advanced degree such as an MBA is strongly preferred.

  • 7+ years of years of experience in sales & marketing and/or commercial positions, including at least two years in outbound (demand generation) or sales leadership in a +$1B multinational technology organization.

  • Proven experience with fundamental Lean concepts and applying those to the complex and fast paced environment of commercial growth and sales funnel management.

  • Followership & Leadership: Proven experience influencing others and developing capabilities in others/teams especially in global environments, particularly in high growth markets.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:

  • As a seasoned practitioner of continuous improvement

  • Leading an organization through significant change without losing momentum; inspiring continuous focus on key business drivers, as well as the Company’s mission/values.

  • Leveraging strong business acumen, partnering, and communicating effectively with OpCo and BU leadership, and other Danaher operating businesses.

  • Effectively prioritizing, leading, and influencing within a complex, large-scale matrix organization.

  • Demonstrating strong conceptual thinking skills, quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong business acumen.

The annual salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
