R. Janus Supply Route Driver/Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Port Huron, Michigan
R. Janus Supply is looking for a delivery driver/shipping and receiving clerk who enjoys working with customers and will represent the company in a professional and service-oriented manner. Delivery driver's route includes St. Clair, Macomb, Lapeer, Genesee, Sanilac, Huron, and Tuscola counties. Driver returns home each day.
Job Description
- Must possess a CDLA with airbrake endorsement
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Must obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
- Drive vehicles with capacities less than three tons to transport materials from warehouse to destinations such as schools, hospitals, restaurants and more
- Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, etc.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, tires, lights or brakes to ensure vehicles are in proper working order
- Install equipment on site where appropriate
- Operate forklift or material-moving equipment
- Represent R. Janus Supply in a professional and service-oriented manner
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
