If you are looking for a place to work where you can establish a career that is filled with purpose, this is the job for you!The Pool Supervisor/Lifeguard performs moderately complex habilitation/rehabilitation work planning, scheduling, coordinating, implementing and supervising water-related events and activities at the SSLC. Serves as Lifeguard, ensuring safety of all individuals and staff, in the aquatics programs on and off the SSLC facility. Provides Texas Special Olympics training and coaching for individuals for aquatic sports and activities. Ensures the Natatorium/pool is in compliance with Life Safety Standards. Maintains equipment and supplies in good working condition. Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of treatment plans for aquatic therapy. Assist in supervising the pool staff and conducting training to recreation and other staff as needed. Participates in the interdisciplinary team process by gathering and reporting data on treatment plans for individuals. Ensures the satisfactory completion of paperwork in program related areas in order to meet applicable standards and procedures. Develops, maintains and submits required reports in a timely manner. Valid driverand#146;s license and ability to drive a state vehicle may be required in order to as a backup driver when needed. Works under the general supervision of a Registered Therapist, Recreational Supervisor or Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
