We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Value Stream Manager to join our Mission Systems Strategic Business Unit of Collins Aerospace, based in Plymouth.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Value Stream Leader, the Value Stream Manager will support a dynamic business portfolio of development engineering and production programmes, serving to meet the business short-to-medium term financial commitments, as well as longer-term strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will be allocated multiple key global customer accounts, whereby they will be responsible for all aspects of their customer programmes. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and have experience of driving a cross functional team, delivering projects to tight timescales.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Planning / Execution of complex engineering and production projects to time and cost

  • Product Lifecycle management

  • High level of customer focus

  • Drive and achievement to realise plans (including milestone achievement, SPI, CPI, risk and opportunity management)

  • Monthly project reporting and accountability for financial and overall project performance

  • Managing and building effective internal and external relationships

  • Crisp and clear communicator, with proven presenting experience

  • Strategic thinking ability

Basic Qualifications:

  • PMI/APM qualified

  • Proven project delivery experience

  • Project Planning skills

  • Strong risk management / mitigation

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Production management

  • Negotiation experience

  • Earned Value Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in relevant field

  • Prior experience within an aerospace and defence manufacturing environment

This role would suit a candidate with significant experience in Project or Programme Management, looking to further their career. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will have a high level of visibility within the organisation. The role is expected to offer further opportunities for development to widen the breadth of knowledge and further the career of the successful applicant.
