JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties and Responsibilties of Job: POSITION SUMMARY: An Engineering Intern is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that foster a Safe work environment and provide a quality product to the customer efficiently and economically. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with others and manage Engineering responsibilities associated with safety and process improvements. Management Non Capital improvement projects including new equipment installs, cell improvements, etc. Lead cross departmental teams to implement process improvements. Evaluate current processes, equipment, and procedures to determine if they are performing efficiently. Conduct root cause analyses and develop correct actions. Provide technical support for all departments when called upon. Develop a working knowledge of new technology through research. Participate in the 4 week Cross Departmental Training program. Complete additional assigned tasks in a timely manner. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Knowledge of Lean Concepts. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power equipment, and machine shop equipment. Welding and general machining experience a plus.
