JPMorgan Chase Lead Cybersecurity Architect - Cloud in Plano, Texas

As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Emerging Technology Security, you will be an essential part of a team dedicated to developing high-quality cybersecurity solutions for various software applications using modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical cybersecurity architecture solutions by identifying, creating, and communicating risks, mitigation options, and solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support project goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future cybersecurity needs.

  • Define the technical target state of cybersecurity products and drive the achievement of the strategy.

  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall cybersecurity of software applications and systems.

  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and assess cybersecurity design and technical credentials for use in existing systems and architecture.

  • Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge cybersecurity technologies.

  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in Cybersecurity Architecture concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity architecture/engineering, applications, and technical processes. Technical experience in cybersecurity, product development, or engineering.

  • Knowledge of IAM concepts, including but not limited to provisioning, RBAC, ABAC, SCIM, LDAP, and governance and authorization standards.

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls.

  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods and proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.). Deep knowledge of one or more software and applications.

  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for future state architecture.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Certification in Public Cloud Technology from one of the major Cloud Service Providers (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, Google Cloud Architect).

  • Experience developing and understanding information security architecture, mitigating threats, and implementing compensating controls. Deep familiarity with frameworks such as NIST 800-53, OWASP, CVSS, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, MITRE Atlas, PCI, and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).

  • Experience using cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform.

  • Experience with micro services designs and implementations, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
