Job Description

Are you ready to lead the charge in Public Storage’s transition to renewable energy? We are seeking a dynamic Contract Administration Manager to join our expanding Energy & Renewables team. In this pivotal role, you will drive our renewable energy initiatives by sourcing and evaluating top-tier vendors for solar and battery storage projects, leveraging your contract administration expertise to manage and negotiate energy-related contracts while ensuring strict compliance with our company policies and procedures.   • Administer and monitor contract performance on energy and renewables related contracts.

  • Solicit potential new vendors and evaluate their skills and experience to help execute Public Storages ambitious renewable energy targets (solar and battery storage).

  • Negotiate and administer agreements between Public Storage and vendors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Defines and implements all contractual actions to include NDAs, Master Service Agreements, subcontracts, prime contracts, and modifications.

  • Responsible for reviewing contract solicitation terms, handling contract award confirmations, interpreting agreement terms and conditions and identifying potential issues, reviewing agreement amendments/modifications and incorporating changes.

  • Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, specifications and requirements, identify risks and areas of concern on contract terms and conditions.

  • Compile and process all Adoption Agreements for owned and lease solar.

  • Manage the correct execution of contract lease payment escalation clauses when due.

  • Respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.

  • Prepare and analyze moderately complex price proposals.

  • Evaluate competitive bids and provide recommendations to senior leadership for contract award.

  • Negotiate standard terms and conditions.

  • Monitor contract performance and cost controls and ensure compliance with contract terms.

  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to senior leadership as required

  • Maintain effective internal and external customer relations.

  • Perform special projects as requested

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of contract administration experience. Construction and/or legal experience a plus.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with vendors and internal personnel

  • Intermediate or advanced writing and proofreading skills

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

  • High attention to detail

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to quickly learn different software systems

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
