Location: Pittsford, NY (Hybrid position)

What does a Resource Recovery Assistant Manager do?

Responsible for managing the Resource Recovery Counselors in order to effectively collect past-due loans and to maximize the recovery of financial resources related to problem loan accounts; implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the department; organizing the work, activities, and human resources of the department; directly supervising assigned personnel; communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel; providing periodic reports.

What is needed to be successful in this role?

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in a field related to banking or equivalent normally required.

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in related positions normally required.

  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with a PC and associated programs (such as Microsoft Office)

What are the main responsibilities in this position?

  • Manages the Resource Recovery Counselors to effectively collect past-due indirect, direct, and chexmate loans and to maximize the recovery of financial resources related to problem loan accounts

  • Directly supervises this team to monitor the status of delinquent loans and to ensure that holders of delinquent accounts are contacted.

  • Develops, with Resource Recovery Manager, resource recovery strategies.

  • Analyzes difficult and complex loans to determine the most effective method for maximizing financial recovery and establishes an action plan for collection.

  • Organizes the work and activities of the Resource Recovery Department to achieve established goals; monitors the efficiency and performance of the department versus established standards.

  • Directly supervises staff within the department.

Compensation range- $30.00-$32.00

The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
