We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Technical Writer to join our engagement team supporting our Technology Services Group organization. This role is in Pittsburgh, hybrid (3 days in the office). Technology Services Group (TSG) provides reliable, resilient, next-generation enterprise technology infrastructure and support that enables BNY Mellon employees to deliver the whole firm to their colleagues and clients around the world. We are continuously improving automation and bridging the gap between cost, customer needs, and innovative tools to ensure the best possible experience. The TSG Engagement team supports leadership's commitment to informing, inspiring and engaging the people at BNY Mellon. We partner with senior management, subject matter experts, and technology stakeholders to develop strategic engagement plans that drive awareness of our key priorities and technology initiatives. Our key focus areas include understanding our audience; creating and distributing engaging content; providing consulting services to our divisions to help them with their messaging needs; navigating the firm's internal communications channels; and measuring our reach. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: *  Planning - Work collaboratively with technology and engineering teams to create and execute global, multi-channel engagement plans that inform our people on key technology initiatives and technical/end user-impacting processes. *  Technical Writing - Develop technical documentation, end-user guides and other instructional materials and key messaging to support technology projects that impact end-users across the enterprise. *  Channel Management - Deliver compelling and consistent messages across various channels to drive engagement, including intranet, email, newsletters, events, video, presentations, technical guides and other documentation. *  Consulting and Advisory - Partner with internal stakeholders and leadership to provide effective internal guidance on technical messaging, timing and best practices for engaging employees. *  Measurement - Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of the team's activities and initiatives. *  Governance - Ensure that all content is delivered in a way that is timely, accurate, approved, and on brand. *  Event Support - Support execution of employee engagement events, including preparing executive talking points, presentation materials, and day-of event support. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: *  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a strong academic record. *  At least 5-8 years of communications experience at a communications agency or in-house, preferably within a financial services firm or technology company. Significant experience with internal communications, with some knowledge of PR and Marketing. *  Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) with understanding of AP Style Guide. *  Foundational understanding of technology, specifically within the infrastructure, end user technology, and production services domains. *  Proven ability to develop material for and  interact with wide range of audiences including internal clients and senior management. *  Excellent attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy, quality, and integrity. *  Ability to get up to speed quickly on new problems, shift gears, and manage multiple projects concurrently. *  Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance competing deadlines. *  Excellent interpersonal skills and possesses a team-player and positive attitude. Develops written documentation, user guides, help screens and marketing materials for multifaceted and complex technology-based products or services. Works with systems analysts, programmers and engineers to write and edit various documented materials. May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project. Writes, edits and modifies systems documentation, user manuals, training courses, technical reports, translates technical data into well thought out, comprehensive documents. Works with user and development areas to collect and understand data and policies. Effectively translates complex technical procedures into easily comprehensible documentation. Employing good project management skills, orchestrates, coordinates documentation projects to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness and delivery within the specified project deadline. Provides consultative assistence, working with internal product managers, subject matter experts, and business units to determine the best materials to effectively enhance the user's experience. Enlisting user experience techniques, demonstrates and incorporates empathetic elements into the user documentation in a continual effort to improve and enhance the user's overall learning experience. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
