ServiceNow System Administrator

Full Time 

Hybrid Schedule (mostly remote but must be available for on site occasionally)

Requirements

  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator with a proven track record of managing and configuring ServiceNow instances.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including ITSM, ITOM, and ITBM suites.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other scripting languages and web technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies, certification is a plus.

     

Job Description Overview

The ServiceNow System Administrator will be responsible for the daily management, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement of our ServiceNow environment.

This role involves working closely with IT and business teams to develop, configure, and fine-tune ServiceNow applications and workflows to meet our business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to enhancing user experience and business processes through technology.

Key Duties:  

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including incident, problem, change, service catalog, knowledge, and service portal modules.
  • Implement system enhancements that will improve the functionality and reliability of the system for end-users.
  • Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into ServiceNow solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation on system configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Deploy custom applications, scripts, and integrations within ServiceNow.
  • Monitor the health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform, conducting regular audits and performance optimizations.
  • Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and resolving complex issues.
  • Stay current with the latest ServiceNow features and updates, advising on best practices and technology trends.
  • Lead the training and development of users and junior administrators to ensure effective use of ServiceNow.
