DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: POSITION SUMMARY Matthews Gibraltar Mausoleum Construction Company!!! We build concrete core structure mausoleums throughout the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate for this position will provide management and support for carrying out all aspects of related projects. As part of this role the Manager-Construction will oversee the works of their peers and subcontractors while acting as the point of contact to handle any issues regarding the project. Additionally the Manager-Construction will be responsible for communication of project updates and progress.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversee and direct construction project from conception to completion, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction. * Manage the planning, materials, building, and budget of a construction projects; and negotiates and provides cost estimates. * Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building codes, safety regulations and plans. * Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors. * Periodic travel...15-20%. * Meet contractual conditions of performance. * Select and oversee the work of specialized contractors and employees, and ensures work is of high quality and on track. * Report on status and progress of project and budget matters to management and/or clients. * Plan ahead to prevent problems, and resolve any emerging issues, delays, emergencies, etc. * Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses. * Analyze, manage and mitigate risks both for the company as well as workers on site. * Select appropriate construction methods and strategies; and schedules and coordinates construction processes so that projects meet design specifications. * Mentor, coach, train and develop team.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. * Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) a plus. * 5+ years progressive construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 3+ years in a leadership role. * Routine travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required. * High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications, and MS Project. Experience with Procore a plus. * Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). * Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
