Carnegie Mellon University's Office of Human Resources is searching for a HR Leaves and Life Insurance Administrator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and diverse work environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Leaves Administration, the HR Leaves and Life Insurance Administrator will be responsible for the administration of CMU's faculty and staff leave programs including Family Medical Leave (FMLA), short- and long-term disability, workers compensation, Military Leave and other time off plans including Paid Time Off (PTO), in addition to the faculty and staff life insurance benefit plans. Core responsibilities include: Administration of Carnegie Mellon University faculty and staff leave programs including FMLA, STD, LTD, WC, Military Leave and other time off plans including PTO; and the faculty and staff life insurance benefit plans. Maintains compliance with plan documents, ERISA and federal and state regulations. Stays current with industry norms/trends and understands how legislative changes will impact University leave programs. Supports the Leaves Manager in evaluation and implementation of plan design changes or new benefit programs. Assists in preparation and distribution of various employee benefit communications as required.

Requirements: Successful background check Additional Information: This is a full-time, exempt, position based in Pittsburgh, PA. Work Posture: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence of 3 days a week. Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.
