Essential Functions

• Scope the available target market within the utilities and energy industry and conduct competitive and market assessments to determine opportunities

• Identify customer and projects to target within the defined market

• Identify potential partnership opportunities to allow growth in above-mentioned market

• Conduct and lead due diligence efforts with potential partnership targets working with various support functions including legal, HR and finance teams

• Thoroughly understand the opportunity and risks in order to make recommendations to drive Newpark’s growth within the space

• Has the ability to draw upon knowledge and experience to determine solutions that are fit-for-purpose for Newpark

• Identify sales and marketing strategies and plans to successfully achieve the targeted sales of pipeline owners and contractors, EPC’s, O&G, and transmission and distribution companies.

• Ensure annual budgeted sales and associated monthly sales activity goals are consistently met.

• Represent Newpark with a combination of integrity and industry knowledge at meetings, industry functions and trade shows, etc.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree or educational equivalent. 10 years industry experience. Extensive understanding of product offerings /services in a geographic area. Extensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions. Extensive knowledge of company's business practices including strategic planning, budgeting and staffing. Advanced sales/operations expertise.

Position Summary

Develops and implements sales and operations strategies for a specified geographic area while retaining and improving margins through strategic product and pricing efforts, vendor relations and the contract bid process. Responsibilities include employee management and development, inventory management, sales, operations, HSE, quality, training on internal processes and product knowledge, planning and the management / control of the expense budget. Manages the functions and development of sales personnel by establishing forecasting activities and goals. Maintains optimal regional inventory and receivables ratios to maximize inventory turn, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) with a focus on customer service. Assures strategies are consistent with overall objectives for the organization. Prioritizes product opportunities to maximize sales and profits. Handles special projects, as assigned.
