Essential Functions

  • Follows safe practices and complies with company and regulatory standards.

  • Qualified/Certified to operate all HVAC equipment, Chillers, Pumps, Generators, Boilers, UPS systems and Electrical equipment.

  • Must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks as assigned.

  • Must be willing to learn and master new skills and techniques.

  • Detailed oriented as to provide electronic records of equipment status, issues found and the subsequent communication with the team/management.

  • You will be responsible for working with both internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations and failure investigations.

  • You could work in a variety of engineering departments based on current needs.

  • Work at other local facilities to assist other team members or cross train.

  • Ability to work in critical areas while understanding the nuances associated with a Data Center

Responsibilities

  • Performing technical repairs to Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Mechanical systems.

  • Provides engineering support for a wide range of teams, maintenance programs, and project managers.

  • Must be able to understand, analyze and seek solutions to the operation, maintenance, performance or repair of equipment and their components.

  • Should be able to logically approach problem solving.

  • Vendor management and the ability to develop a scope of work for a quote.

  • Writing Method of Procedures for standard operations of equipment or minor repairs.

  • Organizes and manages the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplishes the work process to meet all deliverable for projects as well as maintenance program changes and technical specification revisions.

  • Coordinates work with other operational groups to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Data center knowledge is recommended.

  • High-level HVAC skills or high-level Electrical skills required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Building operations or Maintenance trade.

  • State license to operate and maintain all HVAC equipment and pressure vessels.

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills required.

  • Ability to perform detailed technical procedural writing.
