Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

  • Provide compassionate nursing care at Maryhouse Long Term Care facility.

  • Conduct daily rounds and communicate to appropriate team members during shift.

  • Contact physician and establish working relationship and initiates ongoing information exchange.

  • Provide professional nursing care to residents, flexible to patient census and staffing needs.

  • Administer routine medication including IV meds, charts and make decisions about the use of PRN medications.

  • Notify physician and next-of-kin when there are any changes in resident’s condition.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of SD.

  • Participates in educational conferences and updates and maintains current professional clinical competency.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Certificate must be maintained according to American Heart Association Standards.

Work Schedule

  • Hours: 2:00pm-10:30pm and 6:00pm-6:30am, every other weekend, every other holiday, occasional call time; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $31.00 - $46.50 per hour
