Honeywell Senior Advanced Project Engineer- Deputy PE in Phoenix, Arizona

The HTF Growth Programs team is looking for a Senior Advanced Project Engineer with strong project management skills to serve as the Deputy Project Lead for a major new development program. The successful candidate will support the Lead Project Engineer in executing the Agile Operating System for the program. The Deputy PE will coordinate with other project leads and Program Control to develop and maintain the integrated master schedule, and will work with cross-functional teams to identify and realize schedule improvements. The Deputy PE will also serve as the administrator for the program export compliance infrastructure, ensuring the project team remains in compliance with applicable export control laws.

Due to US export control laws, must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Program Control and Program Management to drive the program Integrated Master Schedule and ensure project engineers are complying with earned value management practices.

  • Coordinate with project engineers across the program to identify opportunities to accelerate schedules

  • Maintain the program export control infrastructure as a Level 3 Classifier and ensure engineers are in compliance with export control requirements.

  • Administer work authorizations for outsource contract workers

  • Coordinate with functional managers and project module leads to ensure the appropriate resources are supporting the program.

  • Support the Agile Operating System, including facilitating sprint reviews, managing program Confluence boards and program metrics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • Minimum 6 years directly related engineering and project management experience

  • Project Management Professional certification is a plus

  • Expertise with Microsoft Project & Excel

  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
