Position Summary

The position performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of equipment for various departments within a location.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.

  • Utilizing a variety of tools, repairs and performs preventative maintenance to equipment throughout the plant and building as required by company guidelines. Inspects equipment to ensure it is in good working order; replaces damaged parts of equipment with new parts; orders parts and installs appropriate parts to machinery; welds parts to equipment during repairs or installations as needed. Assists with minor electrical repairs.

  • Reads and interprets written manuals or communicates with vendors as needed to ensure equipment is properly maintained or installed.

  • Collects and discards worn machine parts; cleans machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment; removes hardened material from machines or machine parts using abrasives, power and hand tools, sledgehammers, or other equipment; measures, mixes, prepares, and tests chemical solutions used to clean or repair machinery and equipment.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated maintenance experience. Other desired qualifications include:

  • Between 2 to 5 years of previous related experience.

  • Forklift Driving Certification- Preferred.

  • Ability to utilize basic tools to perform routine maintenance.

  • Knowledge of Crane and Hydraulics maintenance.

  • Skilled with the use of tools and measurement devices.
