Responsibilities

Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is an internationally renowned medical center with one of the most experienced and expert stroke programs in the country. BNI is home to the Petznick Stroke Center, caring for more stroke victims than any other center in the southwestern United States. Our team of accomplished physicians and scientific investigators serves as a destination center of excellence for stroke care and research discovery. Our Stroke Program has also treated more patients with tPA (tissue plasminogen activator), the only FDA-approved "clot-busting" drug, than any hospital in the United States.

Our dedicated stroke team is committed to providing excellent patient care, conducting research into the prevention and treatment of stroke, and educating our community about risk factors. The Petznick Stroke Center, Research Program portfolio is a diverse portfolio which includes many NIH Funded StrokeNet Clinical Trials, Industry Sponsored Clinical Trials as well as Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to join our team! Manages and coordinates all facets of assigned clinical protocols from IRB preparation through query and data seal; ensuring protocol and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state regulations, guidelines, and policies governing the conduct of clinical trials.

  • Ensures study documents are maintained in compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines and policies (ie- FDA, OHRP, IRB)

  • Complies with licensure, contractual, protocol and policy requirements

  • Directs intradepartmental and external resource activities relating to assigned studies

  • Assists in the review and development of proposed study budgets

  • Ensures compliance with all study billing process requirements

Qualifications

One year RN clinical experience in specialty area.

Bachelor's Degree required

Arizona RN license or RN license from Compact state

Working knowledge of research methodologies.

Master’s degree preferred

Pay Range

$30.55 - $44.30 /hour
