POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief People Officer (CPO) will play a pivotal role as a foundational member of our high-performance executive team. In this dynamic leadership position, the Chief People Officer (CPO) will provide strategic guidance and operational support for health center operations, ensuring the alignment of people-related initiatives with organizational goals, including recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, employee counseling, medical staff services, and credentialing. The CPO will leverage a comprehensive understanding of HR best practices to drive initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree in human resources, business or health-related field or equivalent experience is required
Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the HR Certification Institute (HCRI) and/or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is required
Ten (10) years minimum experience in roles of similar complexity and organizational responsibility, preferably in ambulatory health care setting
Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of vendor, regulatory and administrative staff within the organization and in the community
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and written/verbal communication skills
Excellent business English, spelling, and punctuation skills
Skill in composition, formatting, and typing accurately a variety of correspondence, reports, and other materials
Ability to perform a variety of assignments requiring considerable exercise of independent judgment
Experience with and ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
Must be flexible, energetic and a self starter
Thrives in a fast paced environment, integrating disparate activities, new technologies,and agendas while adhering to deadlines and budgets
Instinctive collaborator with strong staff management experience whovalues teamwork and the input of others
Creative visionary with a passion for learning and professional development and the ability to clearly articulateideas and concepts
Advanced computer efficiency with knowledge of Windows, all Microsoft Office programs, Internet, etc.
Demonstrate behaviors in concert with ACH mission, vision, values, policies andprocedures
Valid AZ driver’s license
Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL:
Develop the systems and procedures necessary to drive and expand efficient operations across all health center delivery sites and business functions. Guide and mentor leaders to equip them with the necessary tools and resources for efficient collaboration with their teams, peers, and partners.
Collaborate as a strategic partner with the Chief Clinical Officer to ensure seamless integration of clinical operations with health center operations and support functions
As a partner with the Chief Financial Officer, help ensure that the organization’s financial systems, budgets, and management reporting processes are built and managed to support the organization’s growth and properly reflect its evolving impact model
Nurture the organization’s culture, values and strengths
Ensure our hiring, onboarding and management procedures are effective for diverse groups
Provide information and assistance to staff, supervisors and council on human resource and work related issues
Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff
Oversee and ensure rewards programs are competitive, and align with business goals
Responsible for ensuring that all new employees, as well as current employees, are and up to date with all necessary credentials and licensing needed for their roles
Lead and champion the organization's Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) initiatives, fostering an inclusive workplace culture and driving meaningful change throughout all levels of the organization
Take active steps to maintain expert-level knowledge on benefit plans. Ensure service standards and financial goals are maintained on employee benefits, compensation process, and wellness program
Serve as a role model and advocate for Adelante Healthcare's mission and values
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years’ experience in a Community Health Center

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time when traveling to various clinic sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be subject to health hazards (contagious diseases, blood borne pathogens, etc.) when working in the clinic area.
