The Manager of Donor Engagement, Programs plans and manages all aspects of programming for the Associates, Corporate Partners, Affinity Groups, and the Fiske Kimball Society. The Manager of Donor Engagement assists with programming and events for the Chairman’s Council, the Stewardship travel program, Anne d’Harnoncourt Society, cultivation events, and other events as designated by the Assistant Director of Donor Engagement.

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Manage all aspects of programming for Associate donors and Corporate Partners, including:

  • Lunch and learn events

  • Behind the Scenes and Tour programs

  • Special programs such as exhibition previews

  • Manage all aspects of programming for existing Affinity Groups, including:

  • COLLAB, supporters of modern design

  • And any groups to be developed in the future

  • Manage all aspects of programming for the Fiske Kimball Society, including:

  • My Favorite Things lecture

  • Annual Luncheon

  • In partnership with the Assistant Director of Donor Engagement, support a comprehensive Leadership Annual Giving and donor engagement program, including:

  • Chairman’s Council events

  • Opening Receptions

  • Cultivation events

  • Anne d’Harnoncourt Society event

  • Other programs and events as determined by the Advancement team

  • In partnership with the Director of Donor Engagement, support a comprehensive Stewardship travel program, including:

  • Reviewing and developing appropriate opportunities with the Chief Advancement Officer and the Executive Office

  • Creating collateral

  • Developing clear and efficient processes for travel project management and reporting

  • Ensure that all content is in line with priority messaging in Advancement

  • In tandem with the Director of Donor Engagement, maintain a comprehensive calendar which reflects all programming and travel activities in all constituencies

  • Manage database of opportunities and develop process for reporting

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Your background and experience include:

     

  • Progressive experience in engagement events and programs, preferably in an arts, cultural, or educational setting

  • Donor engagement experience strongly preferred

  • Previous experience managing a robust, year round schedule of events preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills with proven track record as necessary for the varied portfolio of events with which this position works

  • Confidence and experience in direct communication with donors/constituents, as well and a driven, results-oriented approach to ensure that events align with the overall institutional  fundraising goals

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing, and time management skills; attention to detail; and the ability to respect and maintain confidentiality

  • Knowledge of the arts and cultural philanthropy landscape is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required, familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, Campaign Monitor, Zkipster, Adobe Acrobat, and Airtable preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

    Position and Compensation Details

     

  • The salary for this position is $54,955.

  • This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and 35 hours per week.

  • This position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit.

  • This position reports to Director of Donor Engagement.

  • This position will require evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.

  • Physical requirements:

  • Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus

  • Background check required after a conditional job offer is made. Consideration of the background check will be tailored to the requirements of the job.
