Sterile Processing

Full Time- Evening Shift

This position is located at 3250 South 76th Street, Philadelphia, PA

This position is a staff member of the ISC and supports HUP, PAH, Tuttleman and Radnor Operating Rooms who utilize reusable instrumentation. The incumbent serves as a liaison between instrument processing and purchasing to maintain inventory of over 6,700 different types of instrument sets containing over 12,000 unique types of instrumentation for the above PeriOperative Departments and as necessary House instrumentation orders. The incumbent is accountable for generating instrument orders, contacting vendors, receiving instrument orders, and overseeing quality assurance for orders received. He/she will work directly with the Instrument Administrator to track and update instrument expense records and inventory tracking systems. The incumbent is expected to provide expertise in new set construction, assembly instruction education, and instrument substitution. He/she will work directly with instrument repair vendor to facilitate the maintenance of instrumentation so that inventory remains in proper working order. The incumbent is a vital member of the Instrument Processing team and must adhere to all departmental standards of practice and assist as needed with production related assignment within the department, and may at times serve as an administrative delegate of the department.

H.S. Diploma/GED, required. 5 years' experience as a IP/CPD Tech at HUP/Pennsylvania Hospitals, required. CRCST, required.
