Description:

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Clinical Care Supervisor, to join our Neuroscience team in Northeast Philadelphia!

The Clinical Care Supervisor (CCS) works under the direction of the Patient Care Manager and is responsible for assisting with the coordination of care and managing the department. The CCS works effectively to insure the implementation of the plan of care and the progress of the patient population relative to the plan of care. This role serves as a clinical resource to the nurses in the assigned clinical department focusing on operational through put. The CCS is also responsible to assist the PCM with daily operations of the clinical unit in managing staff schedules, patient rounds, acting as the charge RN, and ensuring integration of the nursing process to achieve successful patient care outcomes.

Education and Training

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Certification and Licensure Licensed and currently registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Pennsylvania. Current BCLS required, ACLS (if required by unit) required or obtained by completion of orientation. Professional certifications desired

Knowledge of:

Processes required to coordinate care.

Admission/discharge criteria for units.

Skill in:

Building relationships with patients, doctors, colleagues and patient families.

Clinical leadership.

Using MS Office applications.

Ability to:

Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Collaborate with others to meet multiple deadlines.

Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Document in an electronic medical record.

Organize work and manage time effectively by completing assignments in the allotted time.

Experience

Minimum of five years current clinical nursing experience preferred.

Previous experience in clinical leadership role preferred.
