Friendship Centers of Emmet County Meals on Wheels Driver - Occasional in Petoskey, Michigan
Seeking a friendly and responsible individual to deliver meals to seniors throughout Emmet County. Will work on an occasional, call-in basis as a backup driver when other drivers are not available. Depending on the delivery route being covered, schedule will be any day or days of the week, Monday through Friday, with a starting time of 8:00. Time to complete the route will also vary, and end of shift may be any time from noon until approximately 2:00, or when route is finished for the day. No nights or weekend work. Drivers plate and pack lunches and observe safe food handling procedures. They ensure that all special requests and special dietary instructions are followed. They drive Friendship Centers vehicles to deliver meals and perform wellness checks on the recipients along any one of four routes. Wash returned food trays using commercial dish washer. Operate vehicle in a safe, legal manner, taking into consideration road and weather conditions. Conduct a daily mechanical inspection of the vehicle and complete inspection checklist. Report delays, accidents, and vehicle problems to supervisor and/or dispatcher.

High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have and maintain clear driving record. No special driver's license required.
