Overview:Reporting directly to the Assistant Plant Manager, this position will be in training for a period of one year or, until he/she satisfactorily learns every aspect of operations, distribution and all service departments.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
After the training period, employee will:
supervise the daily operations in any area where the facility has a need
ensure all associates are properly trained and understand the processes within the assigned department
maintain responsibility for the initiation of reward and disciplinary systems
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of two years college preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years experience coaching and leading people.
Food processing experience desired or a minimum of three (3) years manufacturing experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general information on a technical level
Basic computer skills in all MS Office applications
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with all levels of personnel
Must have basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations of formulations, ingredients, yields, and man-hours
Good analytical and logical problem solving skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Must be able to lift overhead up to 30 pounds
Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, in refrigerated environment as well as in cooking areas.
Ability to travel to other facilities required.
