The Opportunity:

KBR are going through a time of growth and with growth comes opportunity. The Process Engineering Lead will be responsible for the coordination and management of all activities related to process engineering in green energy projects related concentrating on hydrogen production. This includes overseeing the design and implementation of process systems, ensuring that the plant operates efficiently, and working to continuously improve processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead process design activities including the development of process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, and process and instrumentation diagrams.

  • Oversee process safety management activities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Evaluate plant performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process-related issues and develop appropriate solutions.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

  • Manage project budget. Work with project management and other members of the project team to maintain budget.

  • Recommending improvements to processes through utilisation of experience and problem-solving skills.

  • Establish and leverage cross-discipline relationships within the business group to facilitate cost control.

Skills & experience required:

The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled and passionate professional wanting to progress in your career with a growing global consulting business.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, Masters preferred.

  • Solid experience in process engineering, with a focus on hydrogen or petrochemical plants.

  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles, unit operations, and process safety management.

  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
