Caterpillar's Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) is hiring a Senior Marketing Technology & Data Consultant !

Role Summary: The Senior Marketing Technology & Data Consultant works between marketing teams and technical teams to lead strategic development and adoption of marketing technologies and processes within the division and with dealers. This role typically has moderate to expert level expertise on marketing technologies, marketing data, and digital marketing acumen.

This position focuses on Personalized Digital Marketing and Marketing Automation and serves as the expert responsible for the development and execution of Personalized Digital Marketing and Marketing Automation initiatives to drive profitable parts and service revenue and growth within South America. The incumbent will work closely with Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) field team, Dealer Distribution Services (DSD), Construction Industries (CI), and dealer marketing teams to develop roadmaps ensuring optimum use of personalized digital marketing and marketing automation to deliver a best-in-class Digital Customer Experience targeting our Retail & Small Core customers (those owning 20 machines or less).

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for working with the Field Teams, Dealers, and DSD to execute personalized digital marketing and marketing automation initiatives to drive sales with Retail & Small Core customers

  • Responsible for partnering with CISD Digital Strategist to set digital marketing strategic vision to ensure we best serve CI customers

  • Serve as a consultant for field team and dealers on personalized digital marketing and marketing automation best practice and implementation of various tools/software

  • Facilitate and lead onboarding as well as support troubleshooting for Collaborative Marketing (distributive marketing allowing dealers to utilize Caterpillar’s instance of Salesforce)

  • Manage Collaborative Marketing Results (campaign performance and sales targets) and Growth Targets (customer activation) for South America region

  • Provide Cat Dealer feedback to Digital Strategist to improve customer journeys and workflows

  • Provide guidance regarding marketing consent and best practices to target customers digitally

  • Work across CISD Integrated Marketing Team to leverage existing content and identify where additional content for the South America Region in required

What You Have (Skills for Success)

  • Digital Marketing : Experience with processes, techniques, and platforms of digital marketing; ability to implement or manage digital marketing programs.

  • Technical Excellence: Knowledge of marketing technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

  • Customer Focus : Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer/dealer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

  • Creativity: Approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a variety of business situations.

  • Effective Communications: Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients/dealers, vendors, and peers.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

  • Vendor/Supplier Management: Ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Technical background with understanding of marketing automation systems (for example, Salesforce, Eloqua, Hubspot, etc.) and Digital Marketing

  • Experience working with internal as well as external customers or dealers

  • Advanced Spanish (reading, writing and speaking)

  • Basic Portuguese (reading, writing and speaking)

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or any related area
