DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The custodial care position involves completing regular manual tasks to keep public and employee areas of park facilities clean. This includes tasks like washing, waxing, dusting, and polishing various surfaces like floors, walls, and furniture. Sweeping, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and cleaning restrooms are also part of the job. In addition to these tasks, custodians are responsible for restocking supplies, disposing of waste and recyclables, washing windows, removing cobwebs and insect debris, and ensuring cleaning supplies are stored properly. You will also help with ordering janitorial supplies, reporting repairs, shoveling snow, maintaining cleanliness outside, moving furniture and equipment, and cleaning park vehicles as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal employment, without benefits.

  • This position works 37.5 hours per, seasonal position typically runs 8 months per year.

  • The Park is a 7 day/week operation, employee will work 5 of 7 days per week.

  • Weekend, evenings, and holidays as needed for park operations and to meet seasonal needs.
