Genesis Corp dba Genesis10 Oracle Developer in Pennington, New Jersey
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Oracle Developer with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications that support business units or supporting functions
- Involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools
- Participate in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies
- Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
- Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource
- Lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations
- Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application
- Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities
- Design and execute test plans and performing gap analysis to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested and fulfilled
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Oracle 19cg/Oracle 21c added capabilities and functionality
- 11-12 years of experience
- 7+ years working with PL/SQL
- 5+ years of SQL and SQL Tuning experience
- Strong programming/development skills using PL/SQL (package, procedures, functions, triggers) and batch coding skills such as Bulk collections, dynamic SQL, and parallel processing
- Experience working with source control
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly and communicate proposed solutions
- Knowledge and experience with Performance tuning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Oracle 19cg/Oracle 21c /Unix/python
- Experience in advance PL/SQL/tuning/UTL feature/ Developer Tools (toad)
- Developing PL/SQL Packages, Procedures Functions, Cursors and Triggers
- Proficient in performance tuning (PL/SQL) using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing and Hints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Experience working on system migration project involving RDBMS, Oracle built in features, PL/SQL programming, Intermediate level shell scripting and entry level python scripting
- Oracle PL/SQL and RDBMS Hands-on experience - Intermediate level and above
- Lunix/Unix Shell Scripting - Hands-on experience - Above Entry Level - to Intermediate Level
- Python Scripting - Programming - Above Entry Level
- Knowledge of object-oriented design and architecture / SOLID
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to check your work and document your processes on a fixed schedule
