Sr. Corporate Communications and PR Manager

Job Description:

Securitas North America is seeking a talented and strategic Sr. Corporate Communications and PR Manager to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications, the Sr. Corporate Communications and PR Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our communications strategies to enhance our brand reputation and foster effective internal and external communications. This strategic role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communications plans, managing media relations and ensuring consistent messaging that aligns with our corporate values and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Communications Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans that support Securitas North America's strategic goals and objectives.

  2. Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists and influencers. Handle media inquiries and proactively pitch stories to secure positive media coverage.

  3. Internal Communications: Create and manage internal communications programs to engage and inform employees across all levels of the organization. Ensure alignment with corporate messaging and culture.

  4. Executive Communications: Develop, manage and optimize executive communications strategy for the C-suite.

  5. Communications Team & Vendor Management: Strategic guidance and oversight of communications vendors, contracted and internal team members.

  6. Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communication plans and protocols serving as a key spokesperson during crisis situations to protect and enhance the company's reputation.

  7. Thought Leadership Content Creation: Produce compelling content, including press releases, contributed articles and blog posts. Partner with marketing counterparts to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communications channels.

  8. Measurement and Reporting: Develop key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies. Provide regular reports on the impact of communications initiatives.

To be considered for this position, you will need to have the following experience and ability:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading corporate communications, public relations, or related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

  • Proven experience in crisis communications is a bonus.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in using communications tools and software.

Benefits:

Depending on experience, Securitas will offer a starting salary of $115k to $125k, in addition to a full benefit package that includes:
