Amergis Audiologist in Park Forest, Illinois

Amergis Healthcare is looking for an Audiologist to serve the Developmental/Mental Health population with the following responsibilities:

  1. Plans and develops the execution of audiology and speech/language services provided to individuals.
  • analyzes departmental data and prepares reports for administration pertaining to hearing, speech, and language services.

  • evaluates the service and makes recommendations to administration based on these evaluations.

  • reviews and revises department related policies and procedures; monitors quality assurance indicators.

  • provides facility training to staff.

    1. Preforms audiometric assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • conducts follow-up audiological evaluations.

  • conducts speech language screening.

  • conducts hearing aide evaluations.

  • prepares clinical reports documenting test results.

    1. Performs hearing aid orientation classes or individual session for individuals in need.

    2. obtains ear mold impressions or custom ear molds.

    3. serves as a member of facility committees.

    4. develops and conducts in-service and pre-service training for the center and community agencies, such as topics and communication, hearing aids and their maintenance, and Telecommunication Devices of the Deaf usage.

    5. Attends and actively participates in training.

    6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

      Minimum Qualifications :

  • Requires possession of a master's degree in speech-language pathology or audiology

  • requires license to practice speech-language pathology or audiology from the DFPR

  • Requires a valid, current PRL with endorsement as a SLP issues by the ISBE

  • Requires three years of directly related clinical experience in setting

  • PREFERS demonstrated evidence of clinical experience in clinical setting, by certification, CEUs, or advanced clinical coursework with a specialized population.
