Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Electrician to handle power components at a corn processing facility. This role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance duties. The candidate must be capable of working with up to 480 Volts and performing electrical preventative maintenance to ensure power supply is consistently supporting facility components. Additional responsibilities include wiring/unwiring motors, running conduit, and working with MCC buckets, including changing out whole buckets such as breaker boxes, fuses, sensors, photo eyes, control panels, monitors, various HP motors, and lighting.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to work with up to 480 Volts

  • Experience in electrical preventative maintenance

  • Previous experience wiring/unwiring motors

  • Knowledge of OSHA standards (lockout/tag out)

  • Ability to run conduit

  • Experience with AC/DC Drivers

  • Proficiency in using a multimeter

  • Experience working on MCC Buckets

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong assessment and problem-solving skills

  • Effective in managing daily work orders

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 625 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Paris, Illinois.

Work Environment

The position is based at a facility requiring 5 eight-hour shifts. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, especially on Fridays. The role demands a significant focus on preventive maintenance, with daily work orders issued and a balanced approach to handling emergency work orders from mill operators.
