Our Opportunity

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Dimensional Lab Technician - I to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide dimensional analysis of lighting products in accordance with established procedures, measures outcomes, evaluates data, performs failure analysis, and provides routine troubleshooting support and maintenance for all dimensional devices and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities

  • Performs dimensional analysis of components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to blueprints and/or sketches, and produces the NAL and Customer Initial Sample Report (ISR).

  • Performs dimensional verification and certification of gauges and fixtures to their blueprints to assure dimensional accuracy and proper documentation.

  • Maintains the verification/certification record system.

  • Performs and maintains calibration on all dimensional equipment to assure conformity and compliance to NIST Standards.

  • Performs dimensional analysis of components, sub-assemblies, and/or assemblies, and provides information to appropriate departments to assist in troubleshooting and correcting deficiencies.

  • Reviews and evaluates the results of testing and studies to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Requirements

Your Background

  • High School Diploma or GED, plus 2 to 4 years of experience in a Quality or Laboratory related position OR

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of experience in a Quality or Laboratory related position.

Knowledge and understanding of dimensional tolerancing, including GD&T, is preferred.
